Loving my Power Plate Move
I’ve never been a consistent exerciser, until now! I’ve been working with my PT on building strength and flexibility for a couple of years, which has been really helpful. Them my hairdresser mentioned she had purchased a Power Plate and was loving it. Of course after that conversation I started reading about the benefits of using one. The cost was prohibitive at the time so I pushed it out of my mind. As time passed I decided my health was important enough to warrant the cost, and I took the plunge! I was nervous about now having this expensive ‘clothing rack’ that I’d never use… once it arrived I got on it and just stood there. Then I started trying my stretches, and later added squats. It took awhile for me to get used to the vibrations, maybe 3-4 days. Now 8 weeks later I find myself craving it! What??? Yes! My body loves this thing! My PT has noticed a difference in my balance, strength and even in my flexibility. Having her validate the changes in my body was very reassuring. I’ve now graduated to using some weights on it. The other thing I love about this, is all the support that comes with it. So many studies on the benefits and the YouTube videos of routines. If you’re hesitant like I was peruse the studies, sign up for emails, they contain so much information. And then JUST DO IT! You won’t regret it.
