What Is The Correct Speed For Using A Massage Gun?

I had a chance this week to meet a performance and recovery wizard, who makes extensive use of Power Plate technology in his practice.

John Sitt runs Full Circle Fitness in Winnetka, Illinois. In the Chicago suburbs.

He uses Power Plate technology to help build specific athletic capacity.

His clients play tennis, golf, bike, run and climb big mountains.

Power Plate helps his people maintain the strength and agility to keep doing what they love at all ages.

He also uses Power Plate tech to help people get out of pain and recover fully.

In addition he was one of the key people involved in the development of the Pulse Massage Gun.

As a therapist he understood the need for a massage gun that did not have the feel and performance of a "nail gun."

He wanted something that a very broad range of speeds. That had a variety of attachments to be able to work different parts of body.

He also wanted something that would last throughout the work day and did not need to be recharged. Our team at Power Plate was able to build the exact tool he was looking for.

The result was the best professional grade massage gun on the market.

That someone would also be able to use at home.'

I was able to take advantage of his unique expertise, to help with inflammation in my lower left leg and ankle. I injured that knee last year, and recovered fully.

But a lot of the inflammation remained.

He had me lie down on a support cushion and put my calf on a Power Plate pro5.

He then took a Pulse massage gun on the lowest setting (22hz) and began to push my inflammation up my leg toward my knee. He did this for about 40 minutes.

Kept pushing up on the part of my leg where there was muscle, avoiding any bony areas or exposed veins.

After 9 months, my inflammation was reduced by 80 percent. And days later it is still gone.

Tip: He said that the 22hz lowest setting was ideal for massage to really get into the muscle and not "bounce off the muscle." (A Theragun by contrast has a low speed of 30 hz)   The Pulse goes up to 47hz as needed.

==> Another tip he shared for us is to make sure to use the Power Plate and Pulse AFTER any exercise, even a walk. For 3-5 minutes.

John said this is essential to not become sore from activity.
