MRI Images Show How Power Plate Helps Keep Your Brain Sharp

Research published in the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine provides the best evidence and explanation yet of how Power Plate helps keep your brain sharp.

Using brain imaging technologies, researchers were able to see more blood flow in the frontal region of people using Power Plate Whole Body Vibration.

This is a one page summary of this important piece of research conducted on Power Plate pro5 machines.

Here is what the research found:

When you take a step while walking, that helps drive blood through your arteries, into the brain.

When you are on a Power Plate, the blood pumps much more quickly.

Especially for older people who can't move as quickly, using a Power Plate each day will help keep your brain sharp.

Scientists from two of Japan’s leading medical institutes have published exciting new research concluding that whole body vibration, delivered by Power Plate, increased cerebral blood flow and enhanced cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment, a pre-clinical stage of dementia.

The average rate of progression of dementia is 5-15% each year. Using advanced brain imaging technologies, these researchers discovered increased regional cerebral blood flow ratio (rCBF) in the parietal and occipital lobes.

The authors assert that due to the lack of effective drug therapies for Alzheimer disease, “preclinical and non-medical interventions are essential for preventing and treating cognitive decline in patients with mild cognitive impairment."

This suggests that Power Plate can be a critical tool in mitigating the progression of cognitive decline."

PS: Did you know what when the MRI was first developed, it was called Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging.  The word "nuclear" was dropped by people working with Bear Stearns to help commercialize the technology.
